Services :

The Pharmacy Wing is functioning in five sections. (i) Main Pharmacy, (ii) Indoor Pharmacy, (iii)
Outdoor Pharmacy, (iv) Paediatric Pharmacy and (V) Sanskar Chowk Pharmacy.
Activities :
About 444 medicines are dispensed from this
department. The Pharmacy Computers are linked
with all bill collection counters to know the day
today availability stock of medicines in pharmacy.
Pharmacy services are arranged in such a way that outdoors patients from OPD can collect their
medicines (Tablet/capsules) from ground floor
Room No.25, which is just near to cash collection
counter. Indoor patients (admitted in wards) and
Day Care patients (patient on chemotherapy treatment) can collect their medicines from second
floor (Indoor pharmacy) near to BMT ward Room
No. 210. Paediatric patients are supplied
medicines from paediatric pharmacy. From
Sanskar Chowk Pharmacy all medicines are
supplied to OT, Post Operative, Special Room and
Radiotherapy patients. It remains opened on
working days as well as on holidays from morning
9.00 am to evening 8.00 pm. Requisition of
medicines from various departments and wards
are dispensed from Main Store – first floor above
Annapurna canteen. Delivery of purchased
medicines is accepted at Main Store – first floor
above Annapurna Canteen. Number of patients
under School Health Programme is markedly
increased and all medicines are purchased and
supplied to them. Special services are provided to
special room patients on priority base. Special
services are also provided to patients taking treatment under BMT, advance paid patients as
well a s post p a id pa t ient s from va riou s
organisation and Central Government employees.
Patients under GCS’s adoption scheme and GCS’s
Poor Patient Fund are provided free pharmacy
services as per rules of the institute. Patients with
BPL card and falling under SC/ST category are
supplied costly drugs as well as surgical items /
ortho surgical items free of cost. To provide better
services to patients the pharmacy services hours
are extended and remains open from 8.00 am to
8.00 pm.
Silent billing services are started by pharmacy
department in the month of November, 2011.
Simultaneous work of billing and dispensing of
medicines are now performed by pharmacist on
each counter of pharmacy. Markedly reduction
noted in queue of patients waiting because of silent
billing services.
