Photo Gallery- World Cancer Day Celebration

The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Ahmedabad had celebrated the World Cancer Day on 4th February 2022 in a grand way by gathering 60+ cancer survivors. The theme of the world cancer day for three years (2022-24) has been declared as “Close the care gap” by Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

On World Cancer Day, GCRI has organized a community gathering of 60+ cancer survivor patents, who have more than 10-year disease free status at Asmita Bhavan Hall, Civil Hospital Campus, Ahmedabad. We have called our Health Minister Shree Rushikeshbhai Patel, Shri Pradeep Parmar, Shrimati Nimishaben Suthar, Shri. Manoj Agrawal, Additional Chief Secretory, Health & Family welfare department as the chief guests for this occasion. All the patients were facilitated by GCRI dignities and were given a Shawl as a memento. More than 10 cancer patients have delivered a speech sharing their own experience about defeating cancer. At the end of the programme, all cancer patients were given a helium balloon, which they have blown together, spreading a loud and clear message about Cancer victory.
